My update:

So my husband thinks it’s hilarious. He’s been texting and emailing like crazy about it. I wanted to just ask her but I’ll admit, I’m a coward and can’t. He told me if I really wanted to get her mad, just leave wet laundry in the dryer. He said do that a few times and mouth off to her whenever she mentions spanking and that’ll push her over the edge. I tried a few times but I couldn’t work up the courage. I always panicked and ran down and started the dryer before she found it.

Last week, I had done it and had almost gone all the way through with it when I heard her pull in the driveway. She had had a few bad days and I knew she was already upset so at the last minute, I panicked again and ran downstairs to start the dryer when she walked in. As she walked in the door, the phone rang, and she asked me to answer it because her hands were full (yes, she still has a landline). Unbeknownst to me, while I was on the phone, she went to the laundry room and found out her wet clothes.

She went ballistic. I knew by the way she was yelling my name that I had been caught. I was so nervous and a little excited. She told me again that I deserved a spanking like the brat I acting like. She dismissed me and I walked feeling totally embarrassed but also a little disappointed I had chickened out again.

So the next morning, after a long night of thinking. I sat down with her and we talked. I told her everything. She was totally cool about it but I could tell she was a little relieved. We had a good long talk and it ended with me getting my first spanking. New rules have been set and I now know what it’s like to have been spanked and live in a house where it’s a possibility it can happen again. It has only once so far! It’s the best/worst decision I’ve ever made and my husband is loving it.
