 It’s a weird mixture of feelings. The first time it happened, it was embarrassing but also felt fun and daring. I really thought I’d be tougher and able to handle it a lot better. I knew it would sting, but I thought that would be it. But it was way worse and I couldn’t believe it when I started crying. My wife was sitting there watching me and smiling.

It’s embarrassing now because I know what’s going to happen and my reaction is uncontrollable. It’s awkward being seen half naked by my MIL and having her in charge but it’s also exciting.

It I’m home and I get in trouble, she’ll usually tell me we need to talk and I know exactly what that means. Sometimes she’ll tell me before I leave for work that we need to have a talk when I get home and then I have to think about it all day while I’m trying to focus and that’s so hard! Sometimes, my wife will tell me she’s going to tell her Mom on me for something I’ve done and that’s always a little frustrating.
