Hi Eric,
Your comment seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle.
I actually find it the most interesting of all the replies here.
My husband and I also live quite traditionally, although I'm not spanked. At least not by him.
I brought two little girls into our marriage, and my husband has a teenage daughter.
We practice a lot, especially on certain days, to have another child, he longs for a son.
When we got married, he also adopted my two daughters (2 and 4 years old), and I adopted his daughter (who had just turned 10 at the time), so we are officially a family unit in the eyes of the law.
My daughters were very surprised when they discovered after the wedding that domestic discipline was now their daily companion.
Just like regular church attendance.
We're not a church that practices corporal punishment, but one where traditions are valued.
The church doesn't explicitly recommend corporal punishment of women or girls, but the sermons often suggest otherwise.
However, the kind of spanking chambers some people fantasize about don't exist, just as pastors and their wives who engage in physical punishment are nonexistent!
Also only house diciplin too.
I have to admit that I was skeptical at first, but that skepticism was completely unfounded.
We now have three very quick-learning and obedient daughters, and we really appreciate seeing them cry regularly to keep them on line.
I assume your daughter was also very surprised when she realized that her life was about to take a different turn.
I'm curious how you're doing today.
Perhaps you'd like to tell me a little more about it?
Best regards,
Sahra
