Yes, Jack is very aware of my chats with his mom - we meet weekly for lunch and have our private conversations between the two of us. There were two things I leaned from Stephanie his mom and both occurred when he was 9 years old.

Jack is the oldest of three siblings and has a younger brother and sister. When Stephanie was 8 months pregnant with his baby sister, he needed to be spanked one day, but his dad was out of town for his job and Stephanie was not up to the task in her very pregnant state.

This resulted in the one time he was not spanked by a family member - Stephanie had her housekeeper, who came that day, spank him. Apparently she had seen Jack spanked before and knew how Stephanie wanted it done. Stephanie recalled that Jack was quite shocked at his predicament but fully cooperated.

The other incident occurred when his baby sister Janice was 3 months old and Stephanie made it clear to Jack and his younger brother that they had to be sure the baby was not napping before using the the basketball board in the driveway which being attached the house could be noisy when used. One day Jack was walking up the driveway after school and without thinking pounded a couple of hoops before walking into the house.

Stephanie understandably was exhausted and when Janice who had just been nursed and put to a nap woke up crying, she lit into Jack and then went to get Janice calmed down. As upset as Stephanie was, she knew Jack had not done his act intentionally and was going to let him go with the lecture she had just given him.

To her surprise, she returned to the kitchen and found Jack to be most apologetic and told her he expected to be spanked. She decided to go ahead and spank him and took his pants down. Stephanie added that once she started spanking, some of the built up stress was relieved for her. When she finished the spanking, she recalled hugging Jack tightly for several minutes and that they had really bonded that day.
