I am a 70 year old bachelor. My interest in spanking started when I was a little kid, but my interest in understanding domestic discipline started in my late teens. The 60s and early 70s were the beginning of men being demonized for being men. Men who stood up for themselves were labeled as male chauvinist pigs. For some reason the meme I remember is that they were trying to push the issues that no means no and women don't like to get beat up. I didn’t truly understand either one of those at the time. I had read the odd letter to the editor in men's magazines about domestic discipline, but I wrote it off as just a fantasy in a men's magazine. After working with a lot of women for over 40 years in industry, I've come to conclusion all of those letters were real.

I found the comment in the description that you're talking about consensual spanking relationships. Having followed these forums for many years, I have found the discussion of consensual non-consent to be a hot topic. I also knew a therapist in Dallas that said her biggest problem with women who thought that if men truly love their wives they would know what the wives wanted without being told.The first woman I met who told me she wanted to be spanked didn’t want to tell him what she wanted, she just expected him to man up and do it. We were both in our early twenties at the time.
