 50/M here, raised in a conservative household and received parental spankings until I was betweeen 10 and 12, not after. Always had a curiousity about historical discipline in my teens.

I had a first marriage to a "90s girl," total equality, cook 3.5 dinners per week each, that ended before I finished college. Really hard to run a marriage as a democracy when every vote ends in a 1-1 tie.

But I learned from my mistakes. Every serious partner I've had from age 23 to the present has gone over my knee when needed for attitude adjustments. One required it very hard and often, the others rarely and usually only handspanked. Never really been a believer in maintenance spankings for their own sake, though have been asked for them more as a fetish than for behavior.
