Subject: Just wondering

I was just wondering if anyone else notices these sort of things in photos. I see pictures predicted a lot of times and to me they have one or more of these things that IMO make them less appealing than others:

Looking to the side of or over the camera

One eye appears larger than the other (my daughter gets a lot of those in proofs and I don't consider those for enlargement)

Eyes appear slightly crossed or as if one is looking in the camera and the other is not

Noses that are retouched (or maybe it is not retouching at all) but they look like all they have is two nostrils on their face

Uneven lips

Too many "busy" things in the picture

Clothing that looks like it doesn't fit

I'm talking about full-glitz, professionally retouched photos, not natural or mommy retouching.

I totally notice these things and when I judge these things will not win. I have seen some photos with these things going on and they seem to win all over the place. When I judge I make sure they are looking directly into the camera with both eyes, not too much ugly/busy crap (pretty busy crap is okay.lol) I look for a pretty face and if it is a facial contest then that is all you need but for a total package contest I do not want to see not one flaw.lol
