 I just discovered this board and must thank you. I have been kicked off two of these voyforum boards because I approach discipline and spanking from a Christian perspective. I can tell that I have nothing to fear in that regard here!

Just a quick story. I go to a large Evangelical church which very much favors corporal punishment/discipline, and it is sometimes the focus of the sermon. My conversion to spanking followed my conversion to Christianity, and has been one of many blessings bestowed on our family.

Last Sunday my eight year old daughter was inappropriately squirming and fussing a bit right before the sermon. The first words out of the Pastor's mouth: "Do any of you kids need a spanking?" Of course it was a general rhetorical question. But my daughter looked like she had been hit by lightening. I think it did more good than if I had escorted her out for a spanking!
