Hello Dad of Four,
I think that is an excellent idea. Stacie graduated from hand to the strap at 12. Ours is a two tail. I keep it well oiled as well. I believe this will really get your 15-year-olds attention not that the paddle doesn't. Stacie is strapped lying face down on a table I have in my study. Perfect height for administering the strap.
