Subject: need advice

Hello everyone. Im totally new to the internet dating scene. I have met this wonderful guy online. We have been talking for a month and a half now. He is very nice to me,and we have shared alot of info about each other. In his emails to me, he says that he cares for me, and he gets very sentimental,He sends me E-cards, and really goes all out. But there is a problem, when we talk on IM, he cant really express himself emotionally to me right there, but when I log off, he leaves the sweetest messages to me. whats the deal with this guy? IS he fake, or just shy....Help me
