Sorry you lost your original post. I'm not familiar with Zarathud; I would've enjoyed hearing more about him.

I absolutely agree with you, though. Rules were meant to be broken. That's why they call them rules!

But seriously, I agree that rules should be used as guidelines. I recently had a conversation with a lawyer friend of mine at a poker game. He said that part of the problem with the legal system in its present state is that that judges no longer use the "reasonable man rule" to make decisions. Almost all of them go strictly by the book out of fear of being dragged into lawsuites themselves. He called it "an ironic mess".

It seems that every branch of the establishment is twisting grotesquely in upon itself--and that may be the thing that finally brings its motor to a halt, at which time, of course, the Blue will emerge.

I do think, though, at some point we should make up a set of rule for this board to follow or not, and call them The Blue Rules Of Anarchy, or something to that effect. GF
