What you guys are saying here, [boda youse] is
definitely something to think on, particularly
having a bug out bag packed and airline
tickets and a full tank of gas.

I wouldn't be too close to a big city, especially
on either coast.

OTH, remember the Reichstag fire? Some folks
think we've already had one at OK City.

I would also be looking for martial law, sniffing
the wind, so to speak. Don't wait til the last
minute.

And anyone, even on gummint orders, could accomplish
a bio-catastrophe to bring on The Martials.

Wrt AM's comment on getting busted for no seat
belts, pot possession [the list is almost endless]
I can see some folks I know going postal but not
at innocents. See the book Unintended Consequences
by Ross. Very surgically done.

In short, I'm not worried as much about
a specific action by an individual as I am about
the reaction by the collectivists. The
thoughts of Lao Tse come to mind here.

A recent Canadian acquaintance and tool maker
told me he's moving to Mx because he, like me,
believes martial law is coming to the uS and
he thinks it would only be about 4 days to get
to Canada. At which point he thinks he'd be
chained to his lathe and his home. Even close
to the border of Mx might not be a good place.

Again:

Of the 36 ways to get out of trouble the best
is--to leave. --old Chinese proverb.

And it's best to keep this in the forefront
of one's mind until it becomes a reflex action, I'd say.
