It's for a story I'm writing. (Singe is the bad guy in the story)
The Ballad of Singe Arro
A storm on the sea sealed the fate of a rat,
A captain called Churl on a limbleg he sat.
Dodge had spoke forth, but the captain struck out,
His life was in danger with Singe Arro about.
The murder commited by an uprising stoat,
Caused riot and anger all over the boat.
Spiketail was blamed for death on his paws,
Pinky blamed Arro; for he saw his flaws.
Fought the stoat and the weasel all over the place,
Singe found himself losing, as Spiketail gave chase,
His legs were beat and his spirit was broke,
And proud Dodge did he say to all pirate folk,
"Shall I kill the beast now, or send him away?
I will not take his prsence here one more day."
So Singe Arro was sent, on a tiny rowboat,
Left to the storm, for the weasel to gloat.
Seas took him this way and waves pushed him that,
Stuck on an island, he knew not where at.
Searats marooned were to make up his new crew,
And vengence one day would be his, Arro knew,
When they took a ship that had passed by that way,
(They knew on the island that they'd never stay)
Both calm and rough seas did Singe Arro traverse,
Bowed legs did remind him each day then to curse,
The name of Dodge Spiketail forever to doom,
For causing his pain and his anger and gloom.
