This is about how the Redwall world may have began.
First off our world, about a couple hundred years later has gotten into a horrible age of technology with flying cars, lots of pollution and mostly every rainforest cut down and turned into large disgusting cities.
The humans have pretty much destroyed the world and everything was run by electronics now, They relied on machines more then everything and didn’t expect what would happen next.
A giant meteor was heading towards earth, but the computers they relied on so much didn’t notice it until it was too late; the meteor hit the planet and time repeated itself... The humans all died out very quick. It also wiped out most of the land animals such as bears, monkeys, kangaroos, lions, and most of the animals you would find in zoos.
The air creatures were in the sky so they weren’t really affected by the collision nor were the water creatures.
Luckily many animals such as Mice, squirrels, moles etc... (your usual woodlanders) had noticed the meteor and dug underground along with the rats, ferrets, weasel, (and your usual vermin ^_^ ) and they stayed underground until they thought it was safe to come up.
A while later they came out of the ground and the air was filled with some strange chemical that emitted out of the meteor.
The chemical was affecting the animals and after a while they started to mutate, it made them grow and become more intelligent and after a few years they started to walk on two legs and they even started talking and teaching themselves how to read from old Human literature.
But the chemical had done something to some of the vermin, they had a different kind of exposure and for some strange reason they became crabby and irritable and the rats wanted to be the leaders of all the animals but the mice wouldn’t let them, so the rats decided to lead their own group and their hatred towards to woodlanders started to grow after a long time.
So from then on the vermin and woodlanders feuded and fought each-other and for many, many, many centuries the human buildings crumbled and trees grew back, and pollution eventually just disappeared and everything was nice again.
And the animals built their own homes and lived off the land and eventually they got to where we know them now.
Let’s just hope they don’t make the same mistake the human’s did.
How did you like it?
