Chapter 1 'Bonifa's return'

Dreamfur paced along the roads quietly, holding the body of the dead, old vermin that had left the Berronik clan with her. She couldn't understand why she hadn't been able to defend herself from Bonifa! She had been trained well, but had let her guard down. She shivered at the memory of Bonifa's turned back, and her throwing the knife at it. She steeled her muscles quickly, and mentally chided herself. If she was to be a trained assassin, she would have to learn to get used to killing. But there was no use going back to the Berronik clan. They would mob her. As she tried to think of other clans, her white tail brushed something behind her. She drew her bow sharply and spun around, pointing her arrow at the shocked ferret that had been following her. Dreamfur's mouth opened with shock. "B-B-Bonifa?? But y-you're dead!" The ferret stood close to arrow, a sneer on her face. "I'm not Bonifa. I'm her neice, Akisran. I can't believe you killed my aunt in the cold blooded way! Shooting her in the back!" Akisran snorted in disgust. "No clan will ever take you now." She said. The squirrel lowered her arrow as her green eyes met Akisran's violet ones steadily. "Listen ferret. Bonifa was a warrior. You will never be one. She was extremely harsh, but that is the way vermin should be. That is why I must kill you now!" She drew her arrow back, and released it just as Akisran bolted into the distance. Dreamfur grunted. "Gave her too much warning, that one. Let me try the Terramun clan. Ooo but that one looks too much like Bonifa. Bad luck eh!" She buried the body of the old vermin that had left the camp with her, and set on down the road to the Terramun clan.
