She had seemed steadier and so he had left her alone finally to her mingling, and was standing off to the side of the room with Dustin. The rest of the guys had arrived a little while ago, and Dustin - still disturbed by their earlier argument - had sought him out to make sure that they were fine, so he was leaning against the wall and talking easily with his friend, but looked to her at about the same time - meeting her gaze as he chatted..
