He refused completely to say anything along those lines so just stared wordlessly at her, brows gently furrowed and eyes quiet - almost vacant, as if he had nearly checked out of this situation all together. He had never handled stress well - it wasn't like he flipped out or anything, but he just didn't address it. He would rather prefer that something hadn't happened or wasn't happening, then to acknowledge the problem and try to accept or fix it. "I don't know what we can do."
