Ok, the information source where i read this from isnt great - it was only a small article but im trying to find some sites on this as it has sucked me in and i cant help myself trying to find out loads more...i have too much time

so far, today ive learnt...its a chinese divination tool, its over 4000 years old and is based on 8 principles - heaven, earth, water, thunder, mountain, wind, lake and flame. This is really interesting, as it gives an example - the symbol they forcast from a question they asked was of water and thunder - surely it is based on practical knowledge, eg: water and electrical energy is a big no no. It then says that this forcast is fortelling a time of upheaval...is this because of the combination?

id really like to get a book on this and study it further, as i would also like to do with the tarot. i dont think i could ever practie it, ive just all of a sudden got a sudden thirst for knowledge! how strange.

are tarot and I-ching related? I would have thought I-ching would be the oldest, but then im not sure how long tarot has been practised....this is making for very confusing conversation!
