In reply to: delena 's message, "lone wolves vs lemmings" on 13:56:00 04/29/01 Sun

six years old is pretty young to become a lone wolf, i agree.

"however, as a lone wolf i was free to discover aspects of my nature that i never would have as a lemming. i discovered that it fit my own personal views beautifully, and that result influenced my views about lemmings that never would have occurred to me otherwise."

wow, i like the way you put this. you really do have to step outside of a situation to look at it as a whole and draw some objective (as objective as you can) conclusions. this certainly goes for society and patterns of thought and behavior. and yes, it probably is a self-fullfilling prophecy. it is inherent in the nature of becoming a lone wolf in the first place. and bitter though i may be, i stuggle against cynicism...it's all to easy for me to be that way!

and in the face of all this i am judged by comformists who don't bother to take the time to get to know me. of course, on the other hand, do i really want to know them? (not really.) anyhow, you are right about not worrying about them, and generally i dont, but still.

thanks for the great response, it's nice to know i'm not alone in thinking these thoughts.
