 The morning (EDT) of 31 May, gasoline in the middle of the Ohio/WV border jumped from around $1.299/gallon to $1.469. By day's end, it had dropped to the $1.30s at most stations. On a map, where the Ohio River separates OH & WV, there are two 'bumps;' esses in the river where it bends around to flow northwards a little ways before turning south again. This spike in prices was observed at the smaller, more northern of those two bumps.

If I had to guess--I'd guess it was feared India & Pakistan would be exchanging fissionables by lunchtime (EDT). Your comments would be welcome... I think. RKBA! Regards, all.
