Emotional abuse is just as bad as physical abuse. Just because the scars aren't visible doesn't mean they aren't there. If stuff like this has been going on, or even if this was the first time, then being apart will only make things better for both of you, even though it will probably take awhile for you to feel that way. Right now, worry about taking care of your daughter and yourself.
