I can attest to the veracity of Ketch's comments regarding the openness and availablity of Sri Durga Mata. I myself was privileged to have an interview with her, in her room at Mt. Washington back in 1972.

She was/is a saint, with tremendous spiritual power and realization (she also possessed siddhis or powers of realization as she demonstrated, in a very non-remarkable fashion as she read my thoughts to make a point about my life and the way that I'd been living it).

I've always had great admiration for Durga Ma. I first came in contact with her at the 1970 Convocation. She lead a 3 hour meditation with such spiritual force and wisdom that I, as a beginner on the meditative path could not only feel but enjoy in the depth of the meditation. She loved Master Yoganandaji, served him unstintingly, gave of herself unreservedly to any who came to her for help. Master often praised her behavior to other devotee's as being of the type he wished he'd had in all disciples.

P.S. Brian, a word of unsolicited advice. When I first went on-line a couple of years ago I too came across websites, including the one you are using as the source of this thread, which I've since learned did nothing to advance my search for Liberation. There will always be, in any organization, those who don't agree with the direction taken, or those in leadership positions. But it wise to remember our purpose in this sojourn called life, which of course is Self-Realization.

Shanti
