Here is my post.

Hey Mike

Anyone who cares to check what I wrote will see that I did not omit the last part of the sentence as you claim. I quoted it in full, just as you did.

In any event this does not alter the meaning of the sentence in any significant way. This is part of a conversation Paulsen is having aboard a spaceship, "and involves us all" means those beings present. Just as many others were involved in the mission of Jesus Christ (e.g. the Disciples) others are involved with the birth of this child. Paulsen seems to see his role as being something like John The Baptist, proclaiming the arrival of The Christ Child.

The phrase "as you well know" seems to be confirming Paulsen's earlier intuition that The Christ Child had been born on New Year's Eve 1960.

"The promised return of the hu-man called Jesus," clearly implies the return of a particular man. It does not say "The Christ Consciousness" or similar which would imply a mystical experience, much as Yogananda speaks of the second coming. It says "the hu-man."

If Paulsen is not talking about a human birth, but something else show us where this is explained in "Sunburst", never mind the fact that Paulsen tries to cover his tracks in his later books.
