Hey Ketch,

forgive me if I offended you in any way by the posts in previous threads. Im not actually angry with you at all in any way but I do like to tackle people with a chip on their shoulder out of a sense of cheeky playfulness and also to express my opinion to them in like style (give em a taste of their own medicine) if I consider their views to be unjustified.
Your argument here about the incongruency between Norm's teaching of the chakras and the teaching of the chakras by Yogananda and others has some semblance of logic in it and I would like to address it.
The thing about it is that the differing colors of the light as it expresses through the various chakras is something very closely (if not exactly) akin to the spectrum effect light rays display when they are passed through a prism. Its not as though there are these actual set things called chakras emitting a certain color of light and that these remain universally the same throughout all time (the particular colors associated with particular chakras I mean).
In Sacred Science Norm explains how the prism effect is the result of the Christ light passing through the crown of the head. That light, shining from above, passes down through the prism on the crown of the head and expresses as light of various colours and qualities in the astral plexuses.
So what about the differences between the teachings in way of colors and just exactly which chakras have which colours? I have a possible explanation for that.
Here Im speculating I admit that, but just as you speculate that Norm must be wrong simply because he is saying something different I am speculating differently in an equally 'logical' and imaginative way. This is further proof that you and I will never know the truth of these things unless we become experts in yoga ourselves.
What do we see when we pass "physical" light, the light of the natural sun through a prism? We see that the colours, although displaying a set order from the ultraviolet to the infra-red end, make different patterns of dispersion according to which angle of the prism the ray of light is passing through.
I believe it is a source of greater understanding to consider the chakra system in the light of the prism effect than merely as a set position of colours allocated to certain concrete positions traditionally set down as the chakra system.
Somewhere in here (it might as well be here) I gotta throw in the essential ingredient of the 'turning of the wheel' of yugas that Jo has already mentioned in a previous post.
Consider this: In Holy Science Sriyukteswar referred to the Grand Centre (called Vishnu Navi) as being the magnetic nucleus of this galaxy and that the magnetic influence of the Grand Centre in relation to our solar systems's closeness to or distance from it has an effect on the density of consciousness (ie: kali, dwapara etc...).
Im sure you're reasonably familiar with all this.
My point is that it is not unreasonable to speculate that the gradual movement towards the Grand Centre we are undergoing and its relevant effect on consciousness (our ascending into dwapara yuga) is also being expressed as the gradual shift in position of colors along the spinal chakra system. Do you catch my drift (pun intended)?
