Subject: Ananda and NTLA article

When I read the NTLA article I found it strange that the Ananda ad was placed next to it.
Anyway, at the time I thought it was very unliklely that anybody at Ananda would want
these things to be said about Yogananda. Now, I have heard some folks from Ananda claim that
it was a mistake - that they had no idea the article was going to be of that nature. However,
in Kriyananda's rebuttal to the NTLA article he states very clearly that he had discussions
with the author concerning the allegations of the article before it was published. So it seems to me
that Kriyananda must have had a good idea of what would be the nature of the article. In his rebuttal
Kriyananda even states that he would no longer advertise in the NTLA if such a slanderous article was published.
In light of this why didn't Ananda pull the ad? After Kriyananda's interview with the author I don't think much
imagination was required on his part to conclude what the nature of the article would be. Anyway, I would appreciate
it if anybody from Ananda (or anyone else) could provide me with some explanation. It does seem very strange and
the claim of ignorance of the nature of the article just doesn't seem very believable. On the otherhand I find it
hard to believe that Kriyananda or anyone at Ananda would wish for these things to be said about Yogananda.
