Yes, just as it is not possible to be absolutely certain that the earth is not flat. Just as it is not possible for any jury to ever be absolutely sure that a person is guilty.

Nothing can ever be proved with complete certainty, which is why the criteria is whether something is proved beyond reasonable doubt. The earth could be flat, all the evidence to the contrary could be forged, but most of us accept that for all practical purposes it is a fact that the earth is more or less spherical, or pear shaped.

As has been shown here, some of Paulsens claims, such as his memories of Atlantis as a continent in the Atlantic, destroyed by an impact can be disproven, at least to the satisfaction on every credible geologist who has studied the evidence.

If the methods of scientific investigation, and evaluation of the evidence are considered blind by some then so be it. What is really blind however, is to keep believing in something simply because Paulsen claims it, when there is such strong reason to believe it untrue.

Instead of repeating this endless mantra "You can't be sure," Paulsens true believers should wake up to the fact that they cannot be sure. Neither you nor any of Paulsens other believers have any reason to accept Paulsen's more bizzare claims except your misplaced faith in Paulsen. It is your own gullibility which causes you to accept everything Paulsen claims, nothing more.
