's message, "Maybe she will be a very dark horse, even apocalyptic, emerging from the abyss and shocking everyone. Does she have a charity like Gabrielle that, barring everything else, aka beauty, will be her sure-fire bet for cracking a semi final spot?" on Tuesday, November 24, 06:16:04am
Anyone could of seen from the start that Ashanna Arthur was a big waste of time and money. One would think that the new franchise holder would of learned something from Peter Elias's time. The new franchise holder does not seem to understand what Miss World is looking for. Firstly, does Ashanna Arthur have any kind of charity work she has done or is doing?. What is her beauty with a purpose project?.
I would understand if Ashanna Arthur had the beauty and intelligence and not depending totally on a beauty with a purpose project. But, she does not have the beauty and any other girl at Miss World can match her on intelligence.
It is really very disappointing after having such a great run at Miss World under the leadership of Peter Elias. To have this new franchise holder take over and ruin it.
What the new franchise needs to do is totally change the way they select the girls. It all starts at the screening.
Not because a girl has a masters degree means she is a beauty queen. You need to find a girl who has the beauty and who can articulate herself. A girl can win with just being beautiful and able to carry an intelligent conversation. Than a girl who is just intelligent but dont have the beauty.
I do not see Ashanna Arthur doing good at Miss World. It will be a miracle if she enters the semi-finals. It will be interesting to see what the new franchise holder does after Miss World. Would he admit that they made a mistake?. I doubt it. But I do hope that next year we do not have a repeat of this same mistake.
