But i have good news to bring since it came from the horses mouth himself.

A group of local buisness guys in the track area is in the process to see what it will take to get Cenla Raceway back going.

They have talked with the town about ordinaces and talked to local residents also

These guys are not gonna dump tons of money at first but they are gonna try to raise the old track from the dead.

If its dry enough some equipment will be moved there this weekend possibly.

One of these guys has already gotten with a asphalt company to do a overlay on the track and return road.

This Group of older reborn hotrodders have been playing on the street and had a mishap with a ditch...no damage to the car but what happened was the group decided to attemp the vast job of getting the old track back going

if all goes thru they will start by flagging people off and having a spotter on top end.

all money taken in at the gate will go to improvements

I had heard here say from some people about this previously but i got it from the horses mouth over lunch today

we mite have a local track after all
