yep, me and John Forest have been "doin the do" to the old goat. Took out the ball hone and honed the old 389 out to the gills.Used starkist tuna cans for pistons. Got the crank stroked to there aint no stroke left.Going with a new set of 1 1/4" black jack headers.Heres where the power secret is, got a new set of heads, with the huge 1.88 intake valves. We decided the mild steel roll bars were too heavy and put a "brand new PVC system in." (much lighter and has a 200 psi rating.)easy to put in too, glues easy, dont have to fool with that nasty ole welder.(got that tip from another pvc part on sombodys elses car on the board.) chevy boys better watch out now.
