I posted another book review for "To Die Alone", by Jackie Kays, regarding a USAF Flare ship that flew a flare mission over Hiep Duc during a major assault as a monsoon raged. The flare ship took quad.50 damage, lost fuel, and crashed on approach at Da Nang Airbase, taking out a marine bunker, and ending up in the most heavily mined field in Vietnam along the way. A simply outstanding story of a desperate situation filled with drama, rescue, bureaucratic snafu and tragedy -- a must read book!
