i went for the esplanade opening yesterday. The place really quite nice and fireworks really spectacular. It was ren shan ren hai over there but the preparations for the opening was not well done. They could have done better with crowd control and more signs to direct everyone. The escalators were spoilt and just when everyone is walking up the spoilt escalator,it suddenly started moving in the other direction. Everyone ended up having to run up the escalator....
