Didn't I read a long time ago that Ralf might not have to serve a sentence back in Germany; or at least a very reduced sentence. Germany isn't obligated to carry out sentences handed down by the USA, I don't believe.

I think this was one of the reasons there was a reluctance to deport him from the beginning.

Am I right about that Elli, or even partially right, or is my mind playing tricks on me? Seems to me if Ralf wants to go back to Germany and is willing to be deported and never return to the US he should be allowed to do that, if Germany is willing to accept him back.

Hasn't this country deported other people convicted of crimes back to their homeland - I'm thinking of Cuba. Set me straight anyone who knows.
