Hearing somone else emerge from the rubble, and then the call, she spots the figure, and picks her way carefully over.
Her pupils adjusted to the gloom, she recognizes Carter, glancing at his wounded head and arm.
"Carter? It's me. We've just been bombed. Are you alright?" her voice drifts, muffled by the dust, into the darkness.
Wading through the mess, she reaches him, fingering her all-purpose tool that she too had found in the hallway.
