The one thing I noticed was that the BMG mages would get within distance to target the same victim then precast and a few would run up and unload on the same target then retreat. And in a way the defence (rock wall) hindered the counterattack as we were effectively blocking ourselves as well as the enemy. Perhaps if a few fighters had hidden in front of the defences and waited till a critical time and then in party selected one target and pursued and engaged at same time, however thats hindsight :)
