Everything rod has said is true and his experience with pvp and tenacity to speak out will bring great strength to A^G in planning and future battles. There a few things i would like to add though.

As a pvp guild we are very small and it was the intention when being formed that we would contribute to the forces of good in ORPA defending what is true and right. We will probably never be large or powerful enough to host one of these events alone so we will be forced to interact with others for our survival. I agree we should look after ourselves as a group and part of the activity we took part in was to see how we work in a real field of war and learn from it.

Most of us had never taken part in brutal pvp with unfair numbers (ours or theirs doesnt matter but both bring different tactics) and i applaud all of you for your efforts. I would almost bet money on the fact that i was the first to die to mages and yes they did outnumber us in firepower and maybe we should have been more concentrated but it was a first time so well done.

As for our allies, the Nights Watch was victim to a bit of unscrupulous play as an uninvited guest at war with them arrived to attack when not challenged and after the fall of the bridge it was noted that some enemies were equipped with contraband weapons not allowed by the rules of our engagement but these things are petty. ORB was strong in numbers but not in experience and i cant blame them for blanching in the face of the enemy firepower. As a group of warriors i would like to see you run headlong into a group of enemy mages, who wants to be first? and who doesnt run when he thinks he is unsupported? I stood watching their efforts from inside the enemy lines and the end result didnt show their effort.

The main flaw i saw with our engagement was not that we are in any way bad players or that we have no chance of ever winning. We are for the main part new to pvp and that will change as everyone has already improved in leaps and bounds and will continue to improve. Maybe we should joint train with NW so that we can work as our groupd as a whole learning to fight varying numbers of enemies with different skill sets in varying situations.

Sadly another thing i saw that was lacking was even a few minutes before the event the confusion in the minds of some players attending. Yet they still managed to participate without proper guidance, preperation or knowledge of what was expected of them. I must take the blame for some of this as the preperation was meant to be headed in several ways by me and i didnt manage to follow up on our initial discussions. Our defensive position wasnt know to all attending and how were our disposition was going to be wasnt made entirely clear until the fact. I winged a large majority of it in fact. Im glad to say that what did go right on the day was not planned by me and so was followed through with for example our stone blockades.

I sincerely apologise to anyone who did not enjoy the occasion and hopefully we can start to build on the ideas we originally came up with and those suggested by Rod in his post. Remember as a group we are evolving so throw in your thoughts and ideas i hope to see at least a few more responses to Rods post as it had a lot of thought and effort put into it and obviously he collaborated some of it from yu guys so reinforce what you told him.
