steven,just to let you know ,I'm a big trans am fanatic.The 1978 trans amhas those discriptions you speak of with the tiger eyes. The one in the dew comercial is either a 79, 80 or 81.Those three years had almost identical body styling except that 81 had a firebird emblem on the tail lights and the 80, 81 engines were 5 liter turbo charged as opposed to 6.6 liter big blocks that came on 79 on back.If your becoming a big fan of this car I highly recomend you check out an old 70's movie called "smokey and the bandit".It made this car in the 70's and 80's so popular, every one had to have one.Now they are not so common and the price of these cars are shooting up fast.
