Subject: Curious tire size on a '95 TransAm

Hello,

I have just bought a '95 convertible Trans Am. It has 18" Arelli wheels, and the tire size is not the same on the rear (245/45/18) and on the front (245/40/18) !!!

I wonder if this is normal, and if these sizes are compatible with the original tire size...

As the 4 tires are completely slick, I have to change them. What would be the best tire size ?

Thanks for your help...

Mitch
