Lois, the CofC pretends that the Inspired Version is nothing more than a revision of the King James version made by Joseph, similar to Noah Webster's revision of the KJV to correct grammatical errors. They insinuate that, as such, the IV is more than just a little obsolete.

The unfortunate truth is that the I.V. is not simply a reworking of the King James Bible to make it more readable. Joseph made many additions to the Biblical text that are nowhere found in any ancient mss., citing prophetic revelation of these lost texts from God to him so that the Bible could be made complete again. I did an analysis of the Book of Genesis, numbering the added material the way that St. Jerome did the so-called "Additions to Esther." I counted the initial revelation (Section 22 or Chapter one of the "Book of Moses") as one chapter. Then, each suceeding addition of equal to or more than two interpolated verses i counted as a separate chapter. Genesis ended up with about 65 chapters. That, of course, ignores any additions of text not witnessed by ancient mss. of less than two verses, any omission of material found in the ancient mss. Some of these additions are so connected with core doctrines of the CofC that it is impossible to present to the general public that the CofC uses the NRSV or any other modern translation as its Bible. That is, impossible to do so without dissimulation.

When a doctrinal war gets started in the CofC, and heads begin to roll, the NRSV is not going to be used as the standard for Biblical doctrine -- the I.V. is. So anyone interested in joining, attending, or otherwise participating in the CofC need to familiarize themselves with the bricks that may get dropped on them should the hierarchy decide that they are too heretical and rebellious to be allowed to remain in the church.

"Judge not, lest ye be judged" is NOT in the CofC Bible. Not anywhere to be found. And anybody participating in the CofC will be vociferously judged by the same men who fraudulently quote the verse as found in standard Bibles, when they know that their doctrinal Bible permits them to judge anyone they please without reservation, as long as they are convinced that they are doing so in a godly manner. Hint to Lurkers: These guys think that homosexual marriage and homosexual priesthood are "godly," so Lord knows what standards they use to determine what their "righeous judgement" of you is going to be. They just quote the verse from the other denominations' Bible to persuade you not to judge them -- when they know that their true doctrinal Bible does not require them to give you the same courtesy.
