John, people who tell others that they don't know Jesus and need to learn who he is are usually people who already know Jesus. People who already know Jesus usually don't have on their curriculu vitae training in how to counsel same sex couples before their church wedding.

Ah, but I guess that telling Lois she doesn't know Jesus is just the current incarnation of the "one true church" theme that the Community of Christ pretends to have rejected. You know, the early Mormon missionaries told the targets of their missionary endeavors that the targets didn't really know real Jesus, either.

The more some things are "revisioned," the more of a disaster they become. I guess it all hinges on whether spritiually inspired men, or spiritually impaired men are doing the revisioning. Lately, I've been wondering if the impairment in the CofC priesthood isn't mental as well as spiritual. The apparent seriousness with which you take the invitation you offer doesn't improve the perception any.
