Has it occurred to you, John, as it has just occurred to me?

You wouldn't have to read a single thing by Price to find out what things he had printed that the First Presidency pronounced "untrue." Haven't they documented it themselves, or is it merely folklore that only the actual participants can recite from memory?

You actually do not believe that any such official documentation exists, or you are convinced that you wouldn't be allowed to see it if it did. Hence your response to the challenge is to say that you don't want to read Price's stuff. There is no doubt in your mind that there would be anything else to read. Just like Dr. Smith's explanation of his communist ties: it's "the silence of the Sphinx."

George
