That's the hypocrisy of the CofC, John. The New Testament apostles declared adultery to be a serious offense -- equally serious as the practice of homosexuality in any form.

So you don't mince words with adulterers, but have only "words of affirmation" for homosexuals, as per the requirements of the Taliban of political correctness who run the CofC, and have their hands on your priesthood license.

John, in God's eyes, your hypocrisy is worse than adultery and homosexuality put together. The CofC imposes its "own" tradition onto the words of scripture, in order to make the New Testament proscription of homosexuality of none effect.

Read Matthew 15:1-13, and Matthew 23 in the Inspired Version.
