| The grey mare looks about sadly, seeing all of her old friends gone. She knows it will soon be her time. She is old, her back is swayed, but a dim fire still glows in her eyes, as she steps slowly over to Saranabi, knowing she must talk with her. She nudges the filly lovingly, and smiles. "Saranabi? I fear I must leave you soon. Not of my own will, but I must journey to a different place, near yet far away. When I'm gone, I want you to go to Shining Stream, where my daughter Orion's Dream lives. - She glances at him, her darkened face lined with confusion and frustration. Part of her is tempted to go, to return to the land that was so comforting for her when she sought refuge, where others were so much like herself. She lifts her head, one ear flickering forth to lock upon the other colt, and one swirling to the side, on Dusk. She wanted to return, to be under Mercury's strong guidance once more, the only place she'd ever been able to think of as 'home'. And yet...she couldn't leave Dusk here, by himself; they were in similar situations... He had been driven out because he'd stood up for her against his own father. I'm so glad I could help you before I go...come, lay down beside me, and I'll tell you a story. ~*~ Numbly, the mare lays down, and listens as Apache tells a story of her foalhood, of rainbows and valleys and the herd she once lived in. ~*~ Finally Apache finishes and her breath become shorts.
