Sigma was the enemy. He still had at least 43 ships under his command.
3 mammoth space battle stations,
(1 being his flag ship: The "Maverick's Fury.")
He had 22 smaller sized gun ships,
5 light cargo freighters, with small weapons payloads.
And finally, 13 medium sized battle ships.
Dr Doppler had amassed his own small space fleet, mostly from using hijacked Repliforce vessles. Sigma had started off with a fleet of 60 or 70 ships, and at least 6 battle stations. All of this was due to the fact that his influence could be felt in virus form. All it took was a little infection in the right places, and hordes of space faring Reploids became his willing, and obedient servants.
The space fleet meant little, or nothing to him though. Sigma was trying to reach for the stars, when Dr. Doppler only wanted to secure the Earth. And throughout all of this, there were the Maverick Hunters, who took the side of mankind. Doppler held thier greatest warrior, Mega Man X as a hostage while he engaged in a space war with Sigma. Sigma's forces were scattered throughout the Solar system, trying to set up Maverick strongholds, and that is how Dr. Doppler was gaining the upper hand. His goal was to destroy Sigma. He would deal with the Maverick Hunters later. Only he did not know that trouble was brewing within. Some of the Reploids he had recruited had also been trying to sabotage his plans. Wave Tortise had followed Bit into the city with a promise of helping Dr. Doppler's defenses. His real motives were to recover the parts of his long-time friend Saber Wolf.
Thunder Ram had also agreed to help. but only because Doppler threatened to destroy the power plant in his home city, Metro North (which was once caled Hawaii.)
Doppler also had plans to raise up, not only Saber Wolf, but Metal Scorpion, so that he could complete the full number of 8 warriors that he needed to strengthen, and complete New Doppler Town. Zero meanwhile was hot on the trail of finding Mega Man X, and is headed by Ride Chaser (Hover Bike) to Doppler's new and mysterious island. What things will happen in the future when he arrives? Will Zero be forced to confront Doppler and his goons? Will he be able to get Mega Man X home safely? And what about Mega Man X himself? Even though he is in stasis, will he ever fully recover from the damage the Sigma virus has done to him? (to be continued)
