He sat on his own as usual in a corner of the transport as the others chatted away to each other. They had finnaly arrived at their destination. All the passengers were ordered to exit the craft in an orderly fashion. When they got their they were brought to the centre of a large arena with isles of seats for spectators and in a balcony overlooking the arena was a large thrown(sp?). A member of the security patrol began to explain about this arena and the entire island base itself. Security bot: This Island base is known as New Doppler Town "There was an OLD Doppler Town?" RX thought to himself, as he had not been breifed on the mission by the Hunter command as its was classified as Top Secret. Although he had heard rumours about how X and Zero had defeated Dr.Doppler. SB: Its creator and supreme leader is Dr.Doppler, though you will refere to him as Lord Doppler is that understood? W1: See! I new it was Doppler! W2: WOW! You were right! Is Vile here? At this moment RX turned and concentrated all of his attention on the answer to this question. SB: Yes, commander Vile is here, he is in charge of a special security unit and covert ops. "I knew it! so Vile IS here...." RX thought to himself. SB: These are the rules of the tournament: It will be a series of 1 on 1 fights with the winner going on to the next round and the looser being turned into scrap metal. You will show no mercy, all fights are to the death. There will be several different divisions based on fighting ability which will be gauged in some training matches. The winner of the A division will be made head of security on the Island and 10,000 credits. And the winners of each of the other divisions will be given well paid jobs as members of the security patrols. You will all be staying in seperate accomadations which you will be shown to shortly. You will not wander around the base, there will be no transmissions or communications of any kind with the outside world. Good look and get some rest. You'll need it. I'll explain more tommorow, but for now go to your assigned rooms kindly supplied by our host and master, Lord Doppler. Dissmissed! Each of the contestants was escorted to their accomidation left to ponder on their strategies for the preliminaries tommorow. Back in the central control room. Research bot: Lord Doppler, the contestants have arrived and are now regenerating in their quarters for the preliminary matches tommorow sir! Doppler: Excellent...it will indeed be a good show..maybe you'll even find someone who impresses YOU Vile, heh heh Vile just glared at Doppler V: Not likely...though I may find 1 or 2 worthy of being recruited into MY unit..we shall see Doppler: Indeed! But for now I must rest...Vile take over operations here V: Very well.. Doppler went off to rest as he had been overworking himself lately. As his future plans weighed heavily on the completion of his new base in time...for the "next phase" of his plans... to be continued... (hope I portrayed Doppler ok, G-man.
