In reply to: Scully'sMyHero 's message, ""David Duchovny" on The Late Late Show With Craig Kilborn" on 21:34:10 11/01/00 Wed

I'm really beginning to get pissed off at the way everybody seems to want to relegate David Duchovny to a former star/guest star/supporting actor position in re "The X-Files"!! He and Gillian Anderson are the #@%&*$ STARS of "XF"!!!
It really doesn't seem fair that DD is subjected to this, simply because he has asked to not be featured in EVERY episode this season. Season Two was a "Scullylite" season, due to GA's real life pregnancy, but I don't think people ran around referring to GA as a "former star" of the "XF" and promoting Nick Lea as the second lead, simply because Krycek was *TEMPORARILY* Mulder's partner for about half the season.
What's especially sad is that DD's main reason for wanting to cut back his working hours on "XF" is a desire to spend more time with his wife and child. While we hear a lot about the way women are sometimes discriminated against in Hollywood (i.e. lead actresses ususally get paid less than lead actors) this seems almost like a case of reverse discrimination. If a woman asked to have a less intensive work load on a TV series she was starring in so that she could spend more time with her young daughter, I think most people would be pretty supportive. Because DD is a man he seems ridiculed for wanting the same thing!!
