Well I *HATED* Terms, so this one wasn't anywhere near as bad, IMHO. But I agree, it's not going to be one of my top ten!

Maybe I'm giving Mulder a little bit too much credit, but I don't think he's trying to be snide. I think he's honestly curious about how Scully, with all her scientific background, can be a devout Catholic Christian. I may be reading *WAY* too much into this, but I think he actually wants her to explain her beliefs to him — maybe even invite him to join her at church or at an inquiry class. (As a Catholic Christian myself, I've got to point out: when a Catholic has someone in her life who seems to be seeking answers and has a lot of questions about faith, she really is supposed to try to share her faith.)

They don't really bother me that much, for some reason. The "buggy" eps: like "WOTC" (which is the only XF ep I've never watched) and the prison ones (one was "The List", I forget the name of the other one, but I think they were both from Season Three) gross me out a lot more.

Agree totally on this one!!

OOH Yeah!!!!

Can't say it did a lot for me.

Ditto. Double ditto.

I *THINK* the point was that Mulder has more faith and is more of a "righteous" man than he gives himself credit for. He has a lot of self-doubt. I think the hospital scene was all about that. Mulder felt that he'd "failed" the snakebite test because he did, in fact, get bitten. Scully, on the other hand, felt the fact that he was bitten and survived was "proof" that he was a good man and his actions were in accordance with God's wishes.

My own likes and dislikes (one each):

I liked that Mulder and Scully each got to rescue each other from a bad preacher. That kind of equality is what makes their partnership great!

I disliked the fact that there was absolutely no shippiness, especially when she was visiting him at the hospital right near the end. Couldn't she have given him one of her patented "forehead kisses"? Held his hand? Ruffled his hair? Anything?????
