And yes it was overshadowed by the bed scene and the hallway scene. I love this scene. And yes I know what you mean with the autonomy of their relationship. I also thought it was pertinent how Mulder got rid of the kid. Sure he might have thought that she wanted a drink but I think he wanted to comfort her in private and also tell her his thoughts about the abductees. It seemed like he just came to the conclusion about them right there and then but he was probably thinking about it before and only became sure of it then and wanted to tell her without the kid there. I hate to think what his reaction would have been if he had seen what really happened to her. He did look very concerned to find her on the ground. And he was a bit scared when she disappeared first off.

The whole episode was just pure MSR all the way. IN everything they did and said. Going back to the beginning kind of reinforced all the things that they have been through together and how far they have come with eachother. Scully seemed in awe of that thought as she commented on the painted X on the road. LIke she was amazed that it was so long ago, that they had shared so much and I think it hit home to her how long they have actually been together. They probably haven't really realised how time has flown and the X kind of yelled up at them 7YEARS! I dunno, but this ep does alot for me as far as loving the show goes. Maybe i should have saved this rant for islandgirls post on Requiem.
