I agree that Sig spelled it out just right and said it better than I could. It's actually been quite a while since I've seen Amor Fati but I agree that's just what we were to learn from Mulder's "adventure".

I hadn't thought Krycek might be meaning to help Mulder. I always think he has an ulterior motive. I remember so many people just being so mad thinking Mulder had betrayed Scully by letting Fowley help him when the poor boy was just a helpess victim.

I wouldn't say chaste aunt exactly the way she was finering his lips! Did you notice how it almost looked like she was going to kiss him on the lips? Or maybe that's what Mulder thought was going to happen! Probably just more of CC's shipper teasing or DD and GA having some fun.

What about the scene where either CSM or Fowley mention that he is Mulder's father? That's not part of Mulder's dream state. I wonder if possibly, because of CSM's disapontment with Jeffrey, that he may be delusionally believing he really is Mulder's father. Or maybe he just wanted Fowley to think that. Perhaps her real interest in Mulder was a false belief that he was CSM's son and she wanted to be part of that power through Mulder. It was hinted earlier that she and CSM made have had a thing. Maybe she was just an opportunist.
