Subject: Is En Ami the answer to Requiem?

Well we all know one of the popular theories regarding how Scully's fertility was restored was that the the CSM did something in En Ami. So I was watching the rerun of that tonight with the Requiem revelation in mind.

That scene where Scully wakes up in pajamas after many hours and accuses Smokey of drugging her is indeed puzzling. The first thing she does is check to make sure her wire is intact and it is. Which means the CSM changed her clothes for her while she was asleep and left the wire there. He must have noticed it! That tells me that he didn't even care that she was wired. That could mean that anyone finding out about the disc was of no concern to him because that wasn't really what was important.
And it sure dosn't seem like it was, does it?

He gives Scully the disc and the Gunmen show that there's nothing on it. And then Mulder explains that it was all a ruse and the CSM kept the real disc for himself and only wented to cure himself. But we see that Mulder is wrong because the CSM threw the disc away. And he obviously didn't do anything to better his condition because he is much worse sicker in Requiem. And Mulder says he doesn't understand why they didn't kill Scully. Maybe because there's a very important reason for her to live.

Because what really was the point of the CSM taking Scully on this journey? He tells her that what they are being given is the holiest of grails and the cure for all human disease. I can't help thinking that he might be talking about something else entirely and not the cancer cure at all. A perfect genetically created child resistant to all viruses both human and alien?

He talks to her about wanting to make things right. Since he can be considered largely responsible for her abduction what exactly does he wish to make things right about regarding Scully? Could he be talking about her fertility? Are we getting hints from him about a much bigger picture here?

He also says he's a lonely man. What does that mean? He's lonely so he'd like an offspring? Icky thought, I know! But why exactly DID we get this particular episode as part of Fox's Father's Day night of programming!!? Not funny Fox! Well maybe he's thinking about grandchildren if he indeed is Mulder's dad. We still aren't clear on that.

Scully sure dropped the subject fast when CSM told her she was tired and he was the one who put her to bed. Shouldn't she be a little creeped out since she started out in street clothes and ended up in pajamas? And that didn't need to be done. He could have just put her on the bed and covered her with a blanket. Something Mulder did himself in 'all things'. Since when does nothing more than an aquaintence (or however we can categorize CSM's relationship with Mulder and Scully) take off a sleeping person's clothes and change them into their pajamas?!

Unless it's your parent or a VERY close friend it's extremely inappropriate! Scully should really be wondering about that! So why the clothes change? I DO NOT think he raped her, but he quite possibly could have had a doctor or someone with the alien technology do something to restore her fertility so she could conceive or perhaps to implant an already fertilized embryo. He said he wanted to make things right. Is this what this whole episode was really about or am I barking up the wrong tree?
