I do think there's a possibility that the Bounty Hunter may have healed Scully although it would it be next to impossible to convince her of that. I wonder if she is going to spend time trying to figure out a rational scientific explanation regarding how she became pregnant or will she just accept it as her little Mulder miracle?

It is interesting, as you pointed out, that we get a reminder of the Bounty Hunter when Mulder boards the ship in Requiem. After all, in other abduction scenarios we nevcer saw him, did we? It was like he is there to show us he might be more singnificant than we know.

I disagree, however, on Mulder ever being abducted before. I think he was Bill Mulder's first choice but the elders and perhaps Bill too decided they wanted the male child to stay behind (sexist I know but look at their track record) so he could grow up and learn the truth and aid in defeating the aliens. People along the way like Deep Throat and X wanted Mulder to know. I think Sam was taken just as we originally thought. There still may be mor that the Sam story though as CC has hinted. I hope its good and something that will blow us all away!

I certainly agree with you on the point that the pregnancy is not a soap! I just saw a new post from someone else on that and I don't know if it's worth the effort to try to convince people otherwise. I can understand their fear that it might become soaplike but I really don't think it will. And since when HASN'T TXF been like a saop. What could possibly be more soaplike than having Scully get cancer? But the pregnancy definately is a logical step in the events in the series going back to at least as far as Scully's abduction. It fits.

Speaking of weird mythology scenarios. Has anyone read a fanfic called The Sound of Windchimes? I just read it recently and its quite unusual. It can be a bit graphic and disturbing (so I'm warning you now!) but a very interesting take on the myth and quite surprising since it was written a few years ago (1995 think). If anyone reads it let me know what you think/thought. It can be found at Gossamer.
